"Bumblebee" Guest Outfit Post

Hello folks! It's Paige here again, and I'd like to share another outfit with you! This one is a bit more dressy than what I showed you last Friday, and ended up being what I wore to a Christmas party.

My mom actually helped me by inventing this "bumblebee" colored outfit. I hadn't thought to wear these shades together, but they look fun! The main components of the ensemble are a sunny yellow sweater and a gray and black chevron skirt. While these pieces add eye-catching elements, the tank top, tights, belt, and heels are all black, grounding the outfit. A fishtail french braid (thank you, Pinterest) and a sunny little flower pin completed my look. In the evening, I had a slightly dressy, but still comfortable look for the Christmas party!

Outfit Details: Sweater ~ Thrifted; Tank Top ~ Thrifted; Skirt ~ Consignment; Belt ~ Thrifted; Tights ~ Winco?; Heels ~ Target; Flower pin ~ Made by Mom

Speaking of Christmas, aren't you excited for this special season? Parties, sugary treats, lights, and festive music abound. It's easy to get either overwhelmed by or caught up in the flow of superficial celebration during this time of year. I'd just like to give you (and me!) a quick reminder to keep Christ at the center of this holiday. It's true that He probably wasn't born in December, but it's still important to set aside time to celebrate His birth. More than just a baby being born, it was an event in which the Lord of the universe humbled Himself to become one of us so that He could one day pay the price for sin. So please, remember to praise Jesus for His gift this Christmas. :)

“Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.”
Matthew 1:23

Dear Paige - what a gorgeous outfit! It is so fashionable and stylish, yet I like how relaxed it is too... I have been trying to improve my wardrobe a bit of late and I must say, you have inspired me! Thank you for your lovely reminder about keeping Christ in Christmas! Blessings on your Sunday! Kelly x
