Sense and Sensibility...Patterns
I've recently completed a gown for my piano recital coming next week. It's a Regency gown with three-quarter length sleeves and a split skirt with white lining. I'm going to get my pictures taken in it now and will hopefully post it within the hour.
I got the pattern from Sense and Sensibility Patterns. You can browse the website and buy the awesome historical patterns from www.sensibility.com. They have patterns from the Regency, Romantic, Edwardian, and Swing eras...but I'm sure I'm forgetting one...oh, Titanic/Teens.
My next endeavor will be to make short stays...something I haven't yet attempted. I'm watching Pride and Prejudice to get inspiration :). Did I mention that I'm playing songs from Pride and Prejudice for the recital; that's why I'm dressing up for the part. I'm sure I'll feel awkward when all of the other kids are dressed normally. Haha!

Salad...Mmmmm!
I came up with this awesome salad recipe a few days ago and thought that you all might like it. I'd appreciate it if y'all would try it and tell me what you think of the taste:
McKenna's Cranberry Salad Composee (com-Po-zay)
2 C. torn turkey or chicken meat (I used our leftover turkey meat)
4 C. roughly chopped salad greens (all colors)
3/4-1 C. craisins or cranberries
1 sprig of thyme-stripped
1/2 C. pecans and/or walnuts
Dash of salt and pepper
1 C. FRESHLY-GRATED Parmesan cheese
-Mix thoroughly. Arrange artfully on a plate and top with craisins, pecans and Parmesan cheese. Drizzle with Lite Olde Cape Cod Raspberry Vinaigrette.
Enjoy!

Misunderstandings
So sorry that I didn't get to do the next day of the challenge. Apparently, there's an actual time that ladies from around the country start the challenge. It's at the end of the month, I think.
Have to figure that one out.

Day 3
This rather pirate-like shirt is probably my most favorite of all my shirts ever! It's a really light blue color-almost white. The skirt is just a denim one.

Day 2
Here, I finally went in to Plato's Closet that everyone raves about and came out with this purpley shirt and a few others. I've had this denim skirt for awhile and they ended up looking pretty good together! Anyway, I'll hopefully be able to come up with some more creative outfits here after I do some laundry ;) Funny, Marley tilted the camera this time!
